At The Aerial Man, that’s not all we deal with, we are also satellites specialists.
We can offer you highly competitive package deals if you are thinking about moving over into Freesat, the non-subscription satellite service. Like Freeview, it is a one off payment for the installation of the satellite dish and box, then that’s everything!
There are lots of other options and alternatives when looking into a satellite television service. Looking for a particular foreign satellite? Leave it to the experts, let us know what satellite you want to connect too, or what country you want to receive, and we can install it for you.
Satellite Dishes can often become a slightly temperamental tool after being sat there for years and years. However, unlike the normal television aerial, where you can just spin it around, a satellite dish often becomes a massive problem for people who have had theirs move, or knocked by the wind or wildlife.
Want to run more televisions off your satellite, or want another cable so you can get a recordable PVR? Not a problem, here at The Aerial Man, we can send one of our engineers out to you for your free one-to-one consultation, and we can tell you how much it will cost, replacing the unit on the end of your dish called the LNB if you haven’t got enough connections left, and run the cable for you exactly where you’d like, using a choice of cable to make it as subtle as possible.
Why not get in touch and find out how little it could cost you to get a new satellite installation? Call 0800 195 8056.
What’s the difference between Freeview and Freesat?
Freeview and Freesat are both similar in the respect of they both offer very similar channels and are both free, non-subscription services. The difference comes in how they gather signal. With Freeview, it uses a digital aerial, and your signal and amount of channels can vary on your location or surroundings, whereas Freesat comes through a satellite dish, and can greatly improve picture quality and the amount of channels you get if you’re in a poor reception area.
What is YouView and Freetime?
YouView is a new non-subscription freeview service now being offered and is being spear headed by The Apprentice’s Alan Sugar. YouView requires both an aerial and internet connection. This now gives you the opportunity to rewind, pause and record live TV, but also look back the past 7-days to see what you’ve missed and catch up on it with the click of a button.
Freetime is also a non-subscription service being offered by manufacturers Humax, which is very similar to YouView, but is a Freesat service so it is offered through a satellite. This box also requires a satellite and internet connection, and offers all the same features as YouView, but in a slightly different design.
